Custom Shopify Theme for an Ethnic Wear Label

The Brief

Rahat Fashion sells kurtas, sarees and co-ord sets, in a category where almost every competitor runs a lightly-restyled stock Shopify theme. The brief was explicitly to not look like that. The brand also sells against occasions — festive, everyday, celebration — rather than against product types alone, and the storefront needed to reflect how customers actually shop for ethnic wear.

What We Built

We designed and built a bespoke theme, "Rahat Premium Redesign", rather than customising an off-the-shelf one. The homepage runs a three-slide editorial hero into Shop by Category, then into a Watch & Buy section — shoppable video, so a customer can see how a piece drapes and move straight to the product from the same frame. Below that sit New Arrivals, Shop by Occasion, a seasonal sale rail, Best Sellers, the brand story, a social-proof block and a #StyleWithRahat customer gallery.

The trust layer runs as a marquee across the storefront — free shipping above ₹1,999, seven-day returns, crafted in India, premium fabrics, PAN-India delivery — because for a first-time ethnic wear buyer those answers need to arrive before the product page, not at checkout.

Where It Stands

The storefront is complete and running on its Shopify staging domain, awaiting the brand's custom domain and public launch.
